Shaft Up Motor / Shaft Down Motor
In addition to standard orientation motors, we offer a selection of motors designed for problematic orientations. Traditionally, Vertical Shaft-Up and Shaft-Down orientations develop issues with bearings and shaft seals. Stainless Motors’ Vertical Shaft Up motor utilizes an optimized, tapered end-bell for easy drainage, along with an O-ring sealed rotating umbrella shield which protects the shaft seal. Our Vertical Shaft Down motor features a specially designed opposite drive end (ODE) end-bell to eliminate water pooling around the shaft seal. For severe applications subject to vibration conditions, our robust P-base motor is ideally suited.
